What Accountability Really Looks Like

Let's talk about ACCOUNTABILITY because a lot of people get it wrong.

It's a shame because when done RIGHT, it can skyrocket your progress.

And even help you hit goals that you thought were out of your reach!

First: let's clear up a common misconception.

Accountability is NOT about setting high goals and then beating yourself up for not reaching them.

Instead, it's about owning your power to make a positive difference in your health and weight loss!

Having an accountability plan:

  • Helps you stay consistent because you know you've got a check-in coming soon
  • Keeps you motivated, because the results keep coming when you're consistent - and we all know there's nothing more motivating than results!
  • Helps you focus on what's working and what needs adjusting.

Here are a few ways to add accountability to your routine:

  • Reverse engineer your SMART goals (specific, measurable, actionable, realistic and time-sensitive) with the actions you need to take to get there - and do it at a pace that fits your schedule, lifestyle, AND your current skill set/fitness level!
  • Find an accountability partner. Buddying up with a friend, family member, or coworker who shares similar goals can dramatically increase your likelihood of success - and don't forget, we have a great referral program for buddying up with your friends!
  • Use a meal journal. Writing (or typing) about your journey does more than help you track your progress. It can help you understand patterns, motivations, triggers, and successes.
